100's Day Info

Just a heads up about our 100th day of Kindergarten
Look for this letter coming home next Tuesday...

January 27, 2009
Dear Parents,

On Monday, February 2, we will celebrate the 100th day of kindergarten. We have planned several activities for that day. As part of our 100th day celebration, we will be sharing collections of 100 items. At home, please help your child count a collection of 100 items to bring to school to share and count with the class. The items should be small enough for all 100 of them to fit in a gallon Ziploc baggie. For example, Q-tips, buttons, keys, paper clips, coins, pasta, cereal, etc. Please do not bring any peanut related items. Please send these items to school with your child no later than Friday, January 30, 2009.

To make the 100th day a special celebration, you can also create your own 100th day fashion! Your child is welcome to come to school wearing a t-shirt with 100 items on it. For example, 100 pom poms, 100 ribbons, or 100 stickers could be faceted to your child’s shirt. Be as creative as you’d like!

Attached (to the letter coming home Tuesday) you will also find activities related to the number 100 to help reinforce the topics being studied at school. These sheets are for you to use at home and do not need to be returned to school.

Thank you!
Miss Ralston and Miss McCutchen

Inauguration Question

After talking about Barack Obama's inauguration, we asked our Kindergarteners what they would do if they were elected president.
